Remembrance Day: A Moment to Reflect and Remember - Today, the British DanceSport Association stands alongside the nation in quiet remembrance of all who gave their lives in service to our country.

The British DanceSport Association (BDSA) is delighted to announce its partnership with the independent charity Crimestoppers to launch a dedicated phone line and online reporting service designed to protect dancers and strengthen safeguarding across the UK dance community.

In a transformative step for the UK dance industry, the British DanceSport Association (BDSA) and the British Dance Council (BDC) are proud to formally announce the launch of a Unified Adjudicator Licence, designed to foster collaboration across the dance sector.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has become the first local authority in the UK to formally back the introduction of a National Safeguarding Framework for Extracurricular Activities. The cross-party motion — proposed by Liberal Democrat Councillor Karen King and seconded by Labour Councillor Ceri Cawley — passed unanimously at the meeting of the Full Council on 31st July 2025.

His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has now issued its findings following the First-tier Tax Tribunal, which was held a few weeks ago in Manchester. These findings are exceptionally concerning for the dance community and sport as a whole.
