London, UK – 30th September 2025

multiple new unified membership cards laid out on a blue table

In a transformative step for the UK dance industry, the British DanceSport Association (BDSA) and the British Dance Council (BDC) are proud to formally announce the launch of a Unified Adjudicator Licence, designed to foster collaboration across the dance sector.

This partnership brings together two leading organisations with a shared commitment to advancing dance, in all its forms. The Unified Adjudicator Licence simplifies access for all adjudicators, enabling them to operate freely across both BDSA and BDC platforms without the need for multiple registrations.

The Unified Adjudicator Licence will commence on 1st October 2025, 12:01 am, when all current licences in circulation will automatically be converted into Unified Licences. All subsequent licences granted at first instance or through renewal structures will be issued as Unified Adjudicator Licences.
