Remembrance Day: A Moment to Reflect and Remember

Today, the British DanceSport Association stands alongside the nation in quiet remembrance of all who gave their lives in service to our country.

On this day of solemn reflection, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of those who fell, and those who returned forever changed. Their legacy of dedication and unity continues to inspire every corner of our community.

As Neil Harrison, Chief Executive Officer, reminds us: “Dance, in its purest form, is an expression of humanity, of grace, respect, and shared purpose. As we move together, we are reminded that freedom of expression, so vital to our art, was bought at great cost. Each step, each turn, each moment of harmony is a tribute to the peace they secured for us.”

At the eleventh hour, we pause. In stillness, we remember. In movement, we give thanks.

With humility and gratitude, the British DanceSport Association honours the fallen, the brave, and all who continue to serve in the pursuit of peace.
