Stuart McInnes MBE

Director of Governance

Stuart McInnes is a well-known and highly regarded arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), at Sports Resolution in the UK, at the Saudi Sports Arbitration Centre in Riyadh and at the Qatar Sports Arbitral Tribunal in Doha where he is President of the Ordinary Division and has broad experience of cross-border litigation involving multi-jurisdictional issues.

Stuart has been closely involved in the sports industry for more than twenty-five years and has held Directorships at British Showjumping, The International Pole Sports Federation, Parkour UK and Parkour Earth, and the International Federation for Parkour & Arte du Deplacement. He was one of the 12 CAS Arbitrators, and the only UK representative, on the special ad hoc division of CAS for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs UK LLP, Stuart was a managing partner of a London-based international law firm, where he was joint head of both the Dispute Resolution team and the Sports and Leisure sector team.

Stuart was appointed MBE in 2006 for his charity work in the City of London. He is a Visiting Professor to the Instituto Superior Derecho Y Economica in Madrid, where he has taught part of the world-renowned LLM Masters in International Sports Law for the past 17 years and has taught at Universities in the UK, Europe and the US.
