About the event
This CEO-led webinar introduces the National Safeguarding Framework (NSF), a UK-wide safeguarding framework designed for extracurricular activities involving children and vulnerable adults.
Across the UK, extracurricular activities operate outside the formal education system and often without consistent safeguarding standards. This session explores the safeguarding gap that exists in these environments and explains how the National Safeguarding Framework provides a clear, practical approach aligned with existing UK safeguarding expectations.
The webinar will outline the purpose and structure of the framework, clarify organisational safeguarding responsibilities, and highlight common risks and failures seen in extracurricular settings. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of what effective safeguarding looks like in practice and how the framework can be applied proportionately across different types and sizes of organisations.
The session is hosted by Neil Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of the British DanceSport Association and includes time for questions and discussion.
