New Vogue

New Vogue is a structured partner dance style known for its elegant presentation, set routines, and expressive ballroom-inspired movement. It is performed by couples who follow a fixed sequence of steps, allowing all dancers on the floor to move in the same pattern at the same time.

The style includes influences from ballroom and sequence dancing, with routines often based on rhythms such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and March. Each dance has its own character, timing, shaping, and musical feel.

New Vogue places strong emphasis on posture, timing, footwork, frame, partnership, and presentation. Dancers use graceful arm lines, controlled turns, travelling steps, and coordinated body shaping to create a polished and stylish performance.

It is commonly seen in social dancing, competitions, showcases, and dance schools, particularly within Australian ballroom traditions. New Vogue is an accessible yet refined dance style that combines structure, musicality, elegance, and partner connection.
