Cheer Dance
Cheer Dance is an energetic performance style that combines dance, sharp arm motions, jumps, formations, chants, and elements inspired by cheerleading. It is usually upbeat, powerful, and highly synchronised, with routines designed to create excitement, confidence, and team spirit.
This style often includes movements from jazz, hip hop, pom, and commercial dance, alongside cheer-based skills such as kicks, jumps, claps, strong gestures, and dynamic changes in formation. Some routines may also include basic lifts, partner work, or tumbling, depending on the level and setting.
Cheer Dance places strong emphasis on precision, timing, expression, stamina, and performance quality. Dancers need to move cleanly as a team, hit shapes sharply, and project energy to an audience. Facial expression, confidence, and strong stage presence are important parts of the style.
