Ballroom

Ballroom dance is an elegant and highly structured style of partner dancing, known for its smooth movement, refined posture, musicality, and connection between dancers. It is usually performed by a lead and follow partnership, with dancers moving together in harmony across the floor.

Ballroom dancing places strong emphasis on frame, balance, footwork, timing, and floorcraft. Dancers maintain a poised upper body while using controlled movement through the legs and feet to travel around the dance floor. Although it can appear effortless, ballroom requires discipline, coordination, strength, and trust between partners.

Today, ballroom dance is enjoyed socially, competitively, and as a performance art. It combines athletic skill with artistic expression, making it both technically demanding and visually captivating.
