“The BDSA is important to me because it provides a safe stage for all national and international dancers to flourish at what they do best, dance!'

Bryan Watson

Director

Seen by many as one, if not the single, greatest Latin American dancer of all time, Bryan Watson maintains a sporting record and pedigree which is irrefutable to dispute. As a 9 times Professional World Latin Champion, 7 times British Open Professional Latin Champion, 7 times European Professional Latin Champion, and 5 times winner of the International Championships, alongside his partner Carmen, it is right to say that Bryan’s dancing achievements and accolades make him one of the most historical and influential Latin American dancing icons in the history of the sport. For this very reason, Bryan is in exceptionally high demand for teaching, and is subsequently responsible for coaching and fostering of an impressive collection of National and World Champions within the competitive field.

Highly respected for his authentic and honourable character, Bryan is an unbelievably credible and integral figure within Latin American DanceSport today.

In conjunction with his unwavering values and ethos, Bryan presently sits on the Adjudicators Committee for the World Dance Organisation (WDO), wherein he has been heavily involved with ensuring that both impartiality and rectitude are restored into the World of DanceSport. Not only committed to ensuring that adjudicators maintain these paramount ethics of integrity and excellence, as a recently appointed Day-Time Chairman of ‘The Open Worlds’, Bryan has been working in ensuring that the rights and protection of DanceSport athletes are upheld at one of the most popular and successful championships within the sporting calendar.

As an Advisory Non-Executive Director of the British DanceSport Association, Bryan will continue to stand up for DanceSport athletes, whilst guaranteeing that the rules of the game respect the soul and innate authenticity of dancing.
